We bring you an interview with with a new resident in Timber Prague

You bought a new apartment in the Timber Prague project from UBM. Why did you choose this project?
When I was looking for a new home, the location and proximity to nature played a major role for me. Timber Praha fulfilled both. In addition, there is great access to the motorway network, which I need for work.

What do you like about the project?
Mainly the fact that the buildings are not gigantic and don't look like "rabbit hutches" that would spoil the surroundings.

And how do you feel about the timber buildings?
Very well, the wooden floors and ceilings feel really nice. For the first few days we felt like we were on holiday rather than in our own apartment.

What would you highlight most about your new apartment?
I appreciate the quality of the indoor environment and air, natural lighting and thermal comfort. I also like the control of the apartment via the smart Loxone system, which I can use both in the apartment and via the mobile app.

How would you rate the quality of the apartment?
The materials and workmanship are of a high standard, matching the standard I expected.

How would you rate the cooperation with the developer's representatives and the seller?
Very good, the communication was smooth and we got on well with each other. We also dealt with client changes where everything went to our satisfaction.

And what role did the fact that it is a timber building made of solid CLT panels play?
I like timber as a building material, it is more pleasant and warmer than other materials. I've had a wooden log cabin as a holiday home for 20 years, so it's not new to me. When I found out that Timber Prague is a timber building, I was happy to buy a flat here.

Are you satisfied with the surrounding amenities?
Yes, everything is close at hand. We have Billa and Makro stores within a three-minute drive, and we do bigger shopping in the nearby OC Zličín or Hornbach. There are plenty of options for leisure. The surroundings are beautiful for walking, jogging or walking the dog. For indoor sports, the Jeremi Sport multifunctional sports hall is five minutes away. Within 20 minutes I am at the golf courses in Motol or Hodkovice, thanks to the accessibility of the motorway I can also conveniently get to Rakovník for hockey.

How do you rate the transport accessibility?
The transport service is great. The bus stops right in the area, the metro is eight minutes away. It takes two minutes to get to the ring road by car. And the airport is only 12 minutes away, which is convenient for our holiday trips.

Was it important to you that the building has PENB A and BREEAM Excellent environmental certification?
It was not decisive, but it is certainly good to live in a property with this certificate, which has low energy consumption, saves the environment and offers a quality indoor environment.

Timber Praha has reduced CO2 emissions by up to 60 % compared to a traditional building. Did this play a role?
To be honest, the reduction in emissions was not as important to me as the fact that wood is a durable, natural and renewable material.

How long have you lived in Timber Prague?
My family and I moved in on January 6, so we've only live here for a short time. But we are already very happy.

Thank you for the interview.
